However discouraging the jobs reports may be, my goal is still to obtain a front-end developer job within the next year. Or at the very least, find a part-time or contract position so I can begin to expand my professional portfolio.
I’m going to try to document my journey on this blog. No guarantees that it will be frequent, intelligent, and not filled with curse words. Or a discussion of books I’m reading. Or just a to-do list of what I want to accomplish with the fake websites I like to make. For example…
TO-DO
- PastaFool: continue adding pages and information.
- Not Strangers: connect the back-end, add login/register, add shopping cart capabilities, build out the “about us” and “learn” pages.
- All Monsters Attack: start this project.
- A new CRUD app of some sorts: for what, I’m not sure yet. Maybe again something for aikido.
I want to be able to use these to showcase what I can do and my design sensibilities.
